Graeme Souness was left fuming after the controversial clash between Ben Brereton-Diaz and Fabian Schar at the weekend and believes that the Saints striker should've been sent off for 'cheating'.
The Southampton striker was at the centre of the drama on the Premier League's opening weekend after his clash with Fabian Schar at St James' Park.defender was sent off during the first half of their 1-0 win for what was deemed to be a headbutt on the Chilean international.
As a result, Schar was given a red card while Brereton-Diaz was only given a yellow for his role in the confrontation - a decision that left ex-Newcastle boss Souness fuming.: “If you walked down the street now and did a survey of 10 football fans and asked what annoys them, they’d say cheating. “You are cheating. Schar put his head towards him and there’s no action of headbutting.
