Aaron Fuller delivered an impressive double-double with 28 points and 22 rebounds, leading the unbeaten Rain or Shine Elasto Painters to a 116-99 victory over the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters on Friday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Andrei Caracut contributed significantly, adding 11 of his 13 points in the final quarter, helping the Elasto Painters break away and secure their fourth consecutive win. “Phoenix is a well-coached team. I was worried because they gave us the sense that they could keep up with us. But at a certain point, you have to create some distance between you and them. Luckily, we managed to pull away in the fourth quarter. Otherwise, it would have been a long night with Phoenix,” Guiao said.
Caracut’s four-point play and layup with 7:29 remaining in the fourth quarter extended the lead to 99-88, putting the game out of Phoenix’s reach.
