Multiple cities are under excessive heat warnings across the country, with some set to hit 'dangerous' temperatures.The National Weather Service has warned of the increased likelihood of heat-related illnesses and told folks to drink plenty of fluids, stay out of the sun and check on relatives and neighbors.Arizona has the most cities and areas affected—Sells, Vail, Mammoth, Ajo, Organ Pipe Cactus N.M., Picacho Peak State Park, Green Valley, Oracle, Marana, and Tucson.
In Nevada, alerts cover Amargosa Valley, Bullhead City, Mohave Valley, North Las Vegas, Mesquite, Las Vegas, Henderson, Pahrump, Wikieup, Dolan Springs, Overton, Desert Rock, Furnace Creek, Kingman, Laughlin, Hoover Dam, Moapa, Stovepipe Wells, Shoshone, Indian Springs, Golden Valley, Yucca, Oatman, Valentine and Boulder City.The Utah excessive heat warning is in effect from 11 a.m. Wednesday morning to 10 p.m. MDT on Thursday, New Mexico's from 6 a.m. on Thursday to 6 a.m.
