The M42 in Worcestershire is closed southbound between Junction 2 for Alvechurch and the M5 for Bromsgrove due to a serious collision involving two cars.
Lanes one and two have been closed, however West Mercia Police confirmed at 3:43am that a full carriageway closure was required for collision investigation work.Road users are advised to follow the solid diamond diversion symbol on road signs:Take the link to the A448 Continue on the A38 to Lydiate Ash InterchangeA spokesman for National Highways said:"If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time.
