A man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Monmouth County last weekend was arrested in Brooklyn, New York, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced Friday.
Gaetano S. Scannavino, 25, of Brooklyn was arrested Thursday by the New York City Police Department, authorities said. He was charged with first-degree murder and carjacking, and second-degree weapons offenses. Scannavino was wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Hazlet on Sept. 14 at about 7:15 a.m. when officers were called to the parking lot of 270 Route 36.
Officers found a deceased man - Anthony Hill, 42, of Eatontown - with multiple gunshot wounds on the ground near a dumpster, officials said.
