The Mobile Police Department on Tuesday arrested a man that investigators say is responsible for shooting a victim during an altercation on Duval Street last year.
He is being held at Mobile County Metro Jail on multiple charges in addition to first-degree assault, according to jail records.
Cameron Robinson, 20, of Mobile, is being held at Mobile County Metro Jail on multiple charges in addition to first-degree assault, according to jail records. The other charges are two counts of attempting to elude police, receiving stolen property and unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle.Police said they determined Robinson was involved in the assault of a shooting victim in the 1800 block of Duval Street on June 15, 2023.
On that day, officers responded to a local hospital where the victim was being treated for a gunshot wound. Investigators said the victim became involved in an altercation with two other people and that during that altercation one of them produced a firearm and shot the victim.
