Firefighters say a car had reversed into the fruit shop before catching fire about 3.10am.

Emergency services were called to Hadfield Finest Fruit & Veg on the corner of East and Middle streets in Hadfield about 3.10am, after receiving reports of a car on fire.

A Fire Rescue Victoria spokesperson said a car had reversed into the fruit shop before it caught fire.Police and arson detctives are investigating a suspicious fire at Hadfield fruit and veg store. The two-storey shop was damaged by the impact and subsequent blaze, including its roller doors and glass windows.No one was inside the shop at the time of the incident.
