The National Weather Service issued a frost advisory in parts of central Pennsylvania for Friday morning, but temperatures in the region are also predicted to reach the mid 80s just days later.— which is in effect from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Friday — covers the following counties: Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, York, Lebanon, Perry, Mifflin, Juniata, Centre, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Clinton, Lycoming, Union, Snyder, Montour, Northumberland and Columbia.
The following cities were also listed in the frost advisory: Harrisburg, Hershey, Lebanon, Carlisle, York, Lancaster, State College, Johnstown, Altoona, Huntingdon, Mount Union, Lewistown, Mifflintown, Lock Haven, Williamsport, Lewisburg, Selinsgrove, Danville, Sunbury, Shamokin, Bloomsburg, Berwick and Newport.
Temperatures as low as 33 degrees could kill “uncovered sensitive outdoor vegetation,” the National Weather Service said. High temperatures on Friday and Saturday in the Harrisburg area are predicted in the 60s before jumping into the 80s for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, Temperatures are expected to peak at 86 degrees on Monday, before a chance of rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday night drops the predicted temperatures into the high 70s for Wednesday.Update: Expect elevated fire danger in part of Pennsylvania until Tuesday eveningIf you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
