Rains may persist across parts of the country due to the frontal system and the southwesterly wind flow, according to state weather bureau PAGASA on Tuesday.
In its 24-hour public forecast, PAGASA said the frontal system affecting Northern Luzon may bring cloudy skies with rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
A southwesterly wind flow impacting Northern and Central Luzon, meanwhile, may cast cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Metro Manila, and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, and Cavite. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwesterly wind flow and the localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned the public against rain-induced flash floods and landslides that may occur in the affected areas. Forecast winds in the country will be light to moderate and will be accompanied by slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
