“This is a sad moment, and there’s no way around that,” Mark Zuckerberg wrote in a staff memo this week, adding that he had been wrong in assuming that an increase in online activity during the pandemic would continue. “I got this wrong and I take responsibility for that.”Around 1,200 of its 6,400 employees were dismissed, as the company deals with its lowest period of sales growth since going public.
