A recent study analyzed Architectural Digest’s YouTube series 'Open Door' to see which virtual celebrity house tours garner the most views.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Who isn’t curious about celebrity homes? Turns out more than 52 million people wanted a closer look at one home in Los Angeles — making it the nation’s most popular celebrity home, according to a recent study by real estate experts.

, analyzed Architectural Digest’s YouTube series “Open Door” — in which celebrities show viewers around their house — and ranked the videos based on their total views, according to a media release. Fifth on the list is the home of Youtuber David Dobrik, which has 25,174,565 views. The house, worth $2.5 million, features a full recording studio and a thorough security system. Robert Downey Jr.’s windmill Hamptons home landed in fourth place, with 28,191,919 views. Side-by-side with his wife Susan, the Iron Man actor shows off his eccentric and tasteful house, which they renovated with the help of interior designer Joe Nahem and his team. The video, dated Oct. 10, 2017, is one of the first on the channel to feature a tour by the owners themselves. Actress Jessica Alba’s home placed third, receiving 35,146,040 views. In her video, released on May 23, 2019, Alba shows Architectural Digest around her $10 million house, which is comprised of a custom-made fireplace for Christmas stockings, an impressive laundry room and a “double” bathroom with his-and-hers showers. Producer and DJ Zedd’s mansion finished second with 47,213,280 views. The house is reportedly worth $16 million and is located in Benedict Canyon, an area of Los Angeles northwest of Beverly Hills. In the video, the DJ explains he decorated the house himself and shows off its views of the canyon. And first on the list is Rapper Wiz Khalifa, whose home in the Los Angeles community of Sherman Oaks received 52,198,769 views. The video was published on July 16, 2018, and it stars the rapper himself showing viewers around his house, which includes a dab bar, a weed wall, a heated pool and a recording studio. “Being famous comes with a lot of ups and downs, and the absence of privacy can sometimes be a problem,’’ said RubyHome through a spokesman. “This can also come from the curiosity that fans have about a celebrity’s lifestyle, so sharing a tour of your home with the public can actually be an advantage. “But regardless of the reasons these stars decided to invite Architectural Digest into their homes, what is overwhelming is how popular these tours have been, as viewers can’t resist taking a glimpse of the luxurious lives of their favorite celebrities,’’ said the RubyHome announcement. Other celebrities breaking the top 10 include Dakota Johnson, Kendall Jenner, Aaron Paul, Nicole Scherzinger and Michael Kors.
