Men are increasingly taking interest in their fertility and sexual health, and startups are riding the wave.
, which just graduated from Y Combinator, provides a mail-in kit for men to have their sperm tested and/or frozen. The Boston-based startup prepares a comprehensive analysis report, which includes data-driven recommendations to improve the customer’s sperm quality. Prices range from $350 for analysis and a monthly storage option to $2,500 for analysis and a five-year storage. A lifetime package is also available on request.
To his point, stereotypes have plagued the concept of infertility with misguided myths, often blaming women for not being able to get pregnant. But the truth is that when a couple is deemed infertile,“Broadly speaking, you can think about it as approximately one third male-factor, one third female-factor and one third joint or unexplained,” Kteily added.
