From fails to favourites, The Great South African Bake Off S4 winner shares 'incredible journey'
The show's fourth-season runners-up were Chikomborero 'Chiko' Chiobvu and Mariza Mundow.After a gruelling 10 weeks vying to be crowned South Africa's best amateur baker, Mia Steenekamp was named the fourth season winner ofduring the finale earlier in the week. The runners-up were Chikomborero 'Chiko' Chiobvu and Mariza Mundow.The trio made it to the finale after judges and chefs Siba Mtongana and Paul Hartmann narrowed the bakers down from 12.
"It was my downfall in many challenges such as the cake scape, bread load and baklava!" she told the publication."But in terms of specific bakes, the Bavarian gateaux and the entremets were some of the most technically challenging – all the parts had to be perfect, and if one part failed, all the rest suffered."
