Based on the feedback, a few changes were made since the proposal was presented during the October board meeting, Warstler said. “They offered us 10 acres for $10 a square foot, which was three times the going market average. And I basically said to in the meeting, ‘It seems to me you don’t want us to buy an elementary site in your development,’ and he smiled, and the meeting ended,” Fouche said. “So sometimes we don’t always get to choose where we have land and that makes things difficult.”“We do have some capacity in the schools on the south side,” he said.
