Frisco ISD meeting to give parents fentanyl facts, resources
Information about fentanyl was handed out during a workshop on drug and alcohol prevention during the Resource Fair at the West Dallas Multipurpose Center on April 1. On April 20, Frisco ISD will hold a town hall to educate parents and secondary students about the dangers of the drug.In Collin County last year, fentanyl poisoning led to 73 deaths, up from 52 in 2021, according to the county’s medical examiner.
To educate parents and secondary students about the crisis and available resources, Frisco ISD is holding a town hall meeting April 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the FISD Administration Building, 5515 Ohio Drive. Frisco police Sgt. Stephen Byrom said the number of fentanyl-related calls for service is climbing each year.
