Frisco ISD creates webpage to address hot topics
for students and parents to find facts about issues they are asking questions about.
“It can be hard to know what’s really happening and to discern what’s true from what’s not true,” according to the website. For instance, “the term critical race theory has come to mean a lot of things to many people. FISD believes no student should feel oppressed, ostracized or victimized for any reason ,” district officialsThe topics are attendance zone modifications, critical race theory, employee retention, LGBTQIA+ restroom practices, library books, middle school language arts, relationship-centered learning, secondary grading practices and social-emotional learning.
