100 Year Celebration
MEANWHILE, IN YORK COUNTY, THE FRIENDSHIP FIRE COMPANY OF HELLAM CELEBRATED 100 YEARS OF VOLUNTEER SERVICE ON SATURDAY. NOW, THE FIRE COMPANY WAS STARTED IN 1923, AND AS PART OF THEIR ANNUAL TRADITION, THE COMPANY PUSHED THEIR NEW ENGINE INTO THE GARAGE. WE’RE REALLY PUSHING TO KEEP THE VOLUNTEERS GOING.
The Friendship Fire Company on Hellam celebrated 100 years of volunteer service on Saturday.The fire company first started serving the community back in 1923.As part of the annual tradition, the company pushed its new engine into the station.The fire company currently has close to 40 active members and last year ran on a total of 549 calls.The fire company first started serving the community back in 1923.
