Another example of people who don't think government guidelines apply to them.
Michael Gove, the cabinet office minister, today urged joggers to keep their runs to 30 minutes or under after police forces complained of confusion about where people can go for exercise. The government says people should only leave home alone or with others from the same household
‘I would have thought that for most people, a walk of up to an hour, or a run of 30 minutes or a cycle ride of between that, depending on their level of fitness is appropriate.’ The minister said most people were already showing ‘common sense’ over the rules but warned tighter curbs could be brought in if they continue to be broken.
On Friday the Environment Department issued a statement saying people should only use open spaces near their home and not to ‘travel unnecessarily’. It added ‘you should only go outside alone or with members of your own household’ and reiterated the need to keep at least two metres apart from anyone else.
