There comes a certain amount of self-awareness and responsibility that comes from being on a megahit show like NBC's Friends and it was something Lisa Cash witnessed firsthand when her initial storyline was dropped as the hotel worker Chandler Bing cheated on Monica Geller with. The story was dropped after the late star, who passed in late October, protected the creative direction of his character – knowing the potential backlash from fans.
'The scene was Chandler and Monica were arguing in Vegas about having lunch with Richard. Initially in our script, Chandler goes up to the hotel room, orders room service and I bring it up as a hotel worker. We end up talking and laughing and connecting, and Chandler ends up cheating on Monica with my character.
