“When the driver lost control on the ice and started to skid, the weight and the momentum propelled it literally around without it completely jack-knifing,” KDFW traffic reporter Chip Waggoner said. “Really difficult driving conditions out there and that’s the best example I’ve seen so far.” An Amazon truck slid completely around on northbound U.S. 75 Central Expressway near Coit Road and came to rest facing oncoming traffic.
Wreck crews were trying to straighten out a truck that had jack-knifed on Interstate 20 eastbound near the Interstate 45 interchange. A truck crash in Fort Worth on Interstate 30 near University Drive had three left lanes closed and other drivers were directed to the far right lane, Waggoner reported.they were requesting sanding trucks on residential roads after a vehicle stalled on Ira E Woods Avenue. All northbound lanes of U.S. 75 at Eldorado Parkway in McKinney were closed due to “extremely dangerous driving conditions,” according to police.
