Clear Springs finally scored with 40 seconds left in the third quarter on Julian Salazar’s 10-yard touchdown pass to Ashton Schumann.Javonte Hines then returned an interception for a touchdown to finalize Atascocita’s scoring.Keith Willis ran for three first-half touchdowns, powering C.E. King to a 30-7 win over Clear Falls Friday night in a Class 6A Division II playoff game at Sheldon ISD Panther Stadium.Willis’ 4-yard run gave C.E. King a quick 7-0 lead on its opening possession.
Cougars quarterback Arrington Maiden then ran 10 yards for another score and a 14-3 advantage after one period. Shaun Neibert’s 39-yard field goal for Angleton made it a one-score game at 20-13 with 35 seconds left in the third quarter. The Chargers led 36-17 at halftime, but A&M Consolidated scored 21 consecutive points for a 38-36 lead.Fulshear took an 8-0 lead on Godley’s 8-yard run and a 2-point conversion in the first quarter.
However, Andrew Petter scored on a short run for Georgetown for a 20-15 score, and another rushing touchdown led to a 27-15 halftime lead for the Eagles.Lloyd Jones III fired a 36-yard touchdown pass to Kelshaun Jones with 2:01 left in the fourth quarter to rally Hitchcock to a 36-31 win over Woodville in a Class 3A Division I playoff game at White Stadium in Anahuac.
