A federal judge sentenced a Florida man to prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and for violating his federal supervised release.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for thesaid his latest trouble started in the late afternoon of March 12, 2022, when Bron, from Cape Coral, was driving “an SUV carelessly and in excess of 100 miles per hour northbound on Interstate 75 in Sarasota County.”
A sheriff’s deputy stopped him and conducted a background check which revealed Bron was a convicted felon and on federal supervised release.“the odor of marijuana emanated from Bron’s vehicle, and two 20-inch tactical swords were visible near the driver’s seat and the driver’s door. Bron also admitted to having a firearm in the vehicle.”“a SCCY CPX-1 9mm pistol, loaded with seven rounds of ammunition, inside the vehicle’s center console and a bag containing 4 grams of marijuana.
Back in 2016, Bron had been sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. The feds did not say what made him a convicted felon, but he was also arrested in Lee County, Fla., in November 2021 for failure to appear.
