Both days seemed sufficiently benign as to serve as a relatively gentle seasonal reminder. If nature dispatched messages, Friday might have signaled that the annual time is nigh to learn to live in the 90s. Hotter days seem almost certainly in store.Friday also restated the well-known proposition that summer and its presumed discontents may stem not from heat alone, but from humidity as well. It seemed to show the wisdom of this weather lore by stepping up its stickiness.
It had the feel of a day in which perspiration was not whisked away the moment it was created. Outdoor exertion created a faintly damp feel to skin and clothing.
