The Eagles head to the District 3 6A quarterfinals, with a familiar foe on the horizon.
Cumberland Valley had to wait a while to get going on Friday night’s district playoff opener—16 plays and over nine minutes, to be exact.But once the Eagles offense finally stepped food on Chapman Field, it became clear that the unit, led by upstart freshman quarterback Colton Stamy, was in for a big night, as Cumberland Valley rolled on to the District 3 6A quarterfinals with a 44-12 win over Governor Mifflin.Stamy was terrific in another start for CV.
The drive sucked over nine minutes off the first quarter clock, but Cumberland Valley didn’t bat an eye.
