Manchester City have had a quiet summer transfer window so far but Pep Guardiola 's side have finally completed their first signing.
And in a potential boost to Guardiola's team, Spanish outlet El Nacional have claimed that Real Madrid's signing of Kylian Mbappe has caused Erling Haaland to rethink his options. It is said that City's top goalscorer for the past two seasons is unconvinced that he will be the main man at the Santiago Bernabeu with Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. also already at the club.
It is said that despite Barcelona's financial restraints, signing Halland in a year's time may be possible depending on player departures at the Nou Camp. Robert Lewandowski is approaching 37 years old and is now in the twilight of his career which could see the Catalan giants look for a replacement up front.
"I think Alvarez is definitely a player PSG could be interested in if he’s available, but I think in order for him to get out of Manchester City now, he would have to force that move," he said.
