Protesters from the ‘yellow vest’ movement took to the streets of France for the 21st straight weekend Saturday, with hundreds gathered for a march across Paris among numerous protests around the country.

Paris police have been more mobile and proactive in countering outbreaks of violence since the first Saturday of protests on Nov. 17, 2018. The Champs-Elysees avenue is off limits to protesters after it wasHundreds gathered in Rouen, in Normandy, a past flash point, and hundreds more in eastern Paris at the Place de la Republique, before marching to the business district on the capital's western edge.
