The surreal film melds Japanese mythology with a loose take on astronomy to depict the ways a planetary shift affects a small Parisian suburb.
The film follows a gang of teenagers known as The Ronins who run the streets of the city, leaving childhood friends Daniel , Joshua , and Christophe to face off against them after being separated by drugs and prison time. Amidst the in-fighting, however, cosmic changes are taking place that will ensure no one is ever the same again. The Gravity also stars Oliver Rosemberg, Thierry Godard, Hafsia Herzi.
The traumatized adults collide with the new kids on the block, Ronins who see the changing of the skies as a prophecy for a better future. While the two storylines intersect at the ground level, the sci-fi elements also take flight as the film nears its climax, and audiences will have to stay glued to the screen to see how Ido's fascinating metaphor forms a fully realized cinematic world.
The Gravity hits theaters on November 10th, and it will be available through digital platforms and On Demand on November 14th.
