Freeze warnings have been issued as temperatures are set to plummet in several Midwestern states on Sunday.Warnings are in place for nine states: Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.Temperatures are expected to fall below freezing levels in those states, the National Weather Service said in its latest forecast.
IowaA further warning is in effect for parts of central, north central, northeast, northwest, south central, southeast, southwest, and west central Iowa until 8 a.m. CDT on Sunday. Temperatures as low as 28 degrees are expected.KansasThe NWS also issued a warning for parts of north central Kansas until 9 a.m. CDT on Sunday. Temperatures as low as 26 to 31 degrees are expected.Minnesota Most parts of Minnesota can expect bitter conditions until 8 a.m. CDT on Sunday.
