In his 20 years leading the Trojans from 1994 through 1997 and then from 2008 through 2023, Freeman became the winningest head coach in school history by accumulating a 196-65 record with six region titles and two state championships in his rookie 1994 season and in 2021.In the 10 year period that Freeman was not coaching Brooks County, he would serve as head coach at Southwest Macon and Brunswick , adding an additional 54 wins during those stints.
