A free clinic will be available for Alaskans in Fairbanks on Saturday and Sunday, offering dental, vision and medical services.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska -
The Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps is collaborating with the Mountainview Lions Club Foundation to bring this pop-up event to Fairbanks. This is a first come first serve medical service. The clinic will be set up at Ryan Middle School, the parking lot will open on Friday at 11:59 p.m. RAM volunteers will be giving patients further instructions.
Last year, RAM helped an estimated 700 Alaskans with their clinics in Fairbanks and Anchorage. Patients will have access to dental treatments like fillings and extractions – at no cost. RAM will also be offering prescription medication refills, minor surgeries and even eye exams for prescription eyeglasses.
The clinic will officially open at 6 a.m. on Saturday as well as on Sunday, all services are free and open to the public with no ID required for service.
