Freddie Flintoff continues to work with the England cricket team following his recovery from a horrific crash while filming Top Gear
Cricket legend Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff was again seen working with the England team as he continues to recover from a major car crash. Flintoff suffered serious injuries and was left needing surgery and a long hospital when filming of a stunt for the BBC Top Gear show went majorly wrong.
After making a first appearance earlier this month, he was again seen during training sessions this week ahead of England's One Day International match at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. All-rounder David Willey has been enthused by the presence of Flintoff, saying: “It’s been great, to have him with us is fantastic. He’s a legend of the game, I grew up watching him play and to have him here with us, just his presence and everything he’s done in the game, is fantastic.
Flintoff is the only England player to do the double of amassing more than 400 runs and 20 wickets in an Ashes series, doing so during the seminal 2005 edition, where the Lancastrian became a national treasure.
