Fred's Fish Fry is offering its own jersey design following 'overwhelming demand' for an unofficial Spurs jersey.
We hope you’ve been saving up, because yet another jersey design representing a San Antonio favorite is dropping soon. Fred’s Fish Fry announced Friday that it will release its own branded jersey due to “overwhelming demand” for an unofficial Spurs mock-up created by a digital artist. It all started when the Spurs unveiled HemisFair-themed jerseys last week that social media users said resembled the Bill Miller’s Texas Tea Bucket.
His Fred’s Fish Fry jersey design went viral, and soon after the shirt was up for sale on Bexar County Social Apparel. The seafood chain took notice of the hype around the new design and announced Friday it will reveal its own official jersey in two weeks. “As a long time business in the San Antonio area we value our position in the community and hope these jerseys represent our great city of San Antonio,” a statement from the restaurant said.
