The following month, plot details of Freaky Friday 2 were shared, revealing a double body swap involving Anna, Tess, Anna’s daughter Harper, and her fiancé’s daughter, Lily.
As exciting as Freaky Friday 2 is, it’s the type of sequel that would now be granted as Disney+ release and would be expected to succeed in it, but Disney is betting big by giving it a theatrical release. While Freaky Friday 2 can definitely succeed in theaters too, it’s a bit of a risky move by Disney.
