'There's an app for that.'It's been a while since you've heard that, right? Well, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office is ready to say it about their own, brand

It's been a while since you've heard that, right? Well, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office is ready to say it about their own, brand-new smartphone app for the Franklin County community.

“It’s the way everybody conducts business nowadays,” Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said in a media release. “Everyone has a smartphone. You take your phone out, you punch on an app, and all the information is there. And for us, information provides safety, and that’s the most important part.”has resources for the community, including weather updates, road closures, and more.

Users can also sign up for push notifications to get these updates in real time, and may submit tips or provide feedback through the app. Officials say the app's goal is to make it easier for community members to get access to information they need. "It’s just a way of getting more information about our agency to the public in a much quicker method," Sheriff Baldwin said.
