Five-time Pro Bowl running back could wager up to $100,000 on 49ers to beat Green Bay.
The Twitter post from Gore does make a couple of things clear: 1) Betting with your heart can sometimes be very profitable; 2) Although he’s a free agent, the 38-year-old Gore’s days of playing in the NFL are finally over, even if he has yet to officially announce the end to his 16-year career.that he is not returning to the NFL, under any conditions, unless…it's the week of the Super Bowl. The week of the Super Bowl, he'd come back and yes, he can still play.
The inconvenient truth is that Gore is an official partner with Bovada, so there’s a promotional aspect attached to whatever wagers the five-time Pro Bowl running back makes. Although it remains unclear what Gore’s arrangement with the gambling site is, a Bovada spokesman said, “Nothing was gifted on our end.”
