, the 62-year-old actor opens up the megillah of her glamorous wardrobe. Among the standouts is a teeny black skirt suit with leopard-print trim, studded with gargantuan buttons and complete with a matching beret from the 1993 pilot of, which she describes as the “definitive nanny costume…a 1990s version of Mary Poppins à la Fran Drescher.” Also in the mix is an exceptional collection of ’90s Moschino, including a piano-key fringe skirt sourced by the show’s costume designer, Brenda Cooper.
wardrobe always gets plenty of attention, her red-carpet looks are not to be sniffed at either. She recalls attending the Golden Globes in 1996 wearing a body-skimming Hervé Leger dress and a beehive composed of real flowers. In order to nail the look, Drescher explains that her glam team had to create a cage out of chicken wire around her head. At the time, she worried that the flowers were going to wilt, but by “divine intervention” it rained that night.
