Given the race has changed, we’d like to request the opportunity to host a Presidential Debate between VP Harris and former President Trump,” the letters sent to each campaign, signed by Fox News Media President and Executive Editor Jay Wallace and Fox News Vice President of Politics Jessica Loker, stated.
Trump recently pushed for the network to host the next presidential debate over ABC, which had one scheduled for Sept. 10 when President Joe Biden was still the nominee. Trump had agreed to the debate with Biden, and on Tuesday said he was willing to debate Harris but he didn’t want to do it any longer on ABC News.Trump debated Biden on June 27, an event hosted by CNN, in what would turn out to be a catastrophic move for the latter’s campaign.
