The Fox & Friends co-hosts said the American public is counting on Fox News to cover the 'complicated' impeachment hearings.
"The American public, they want us to watch it all, they want us to give them the summary and tell them what happened. It's hard for them to follow all of these players," Earhardt said.
Doocy cited a Monday Newsbusters article headlined,"Yawn: 95% of U.S. Adults Skipped Friday's Impeachment Hearings," as he laid out the conflicting point that the hearings are"boring" despite the cable news network's high ratings. The right-leaning media website cited Media Research Center data which showed 241.3 million Americans were"doing something else on Friday besides watching these hearings.
There are public impeachment hearings scheduled for Tuseday, Wednesday and Thursday, with a total of 9 witnesses set to appear before House lawmakers this week. Tuesday's hearings are taking place at the House Ways and Committees room in the Longworth House Office Building in Washington.
