A fourth suspect has been arrested in connection with a 2022 home invasion homicide in Snohomish County that left a 36-year-old woman dead, authorities said. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said 24-year-old Xavier Chaney was taken into custody around 1 p.
m. Wednesday in the 3600 block of Albion Place North in Seattle by the agency’s Violent Offender Task Force. Chaney was interviewed by detectives and later booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of first-degree murder. His bail is set at $5 million, and he is expected to make his first appearance in Snohomish County Superior Court on Friday, according to the sheriff’s office.Three other suspects have previously been charged in the case:Chris Johnson, 24, of Pierce County, pleaded guilty on March 11, 2026, to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Keilani Songcuan, 25, remains in custody at the Snohomish County Jail on $1 million bail pending trial. According to investigators, deputies responded around 3 a.m. on Aug. 19, 2022, to the 2600 block of 96th Street Southeast for reports of a shooting. They found Sok suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives said three armed suspects forced their way into the home, went to a second-floor bedroom, and shot Sok while she was in bed next to her 7-year-old child. The victim’s husband was forced to the floor and restrained with zip ties. Authorities said the suspects ransacked the home and stole thousands of dollars in luxury items before fleeing.The case remained unsolved for several months before detectives, with help from the Kent Police Department, developed new leads late in 2022, according to the sheriff’s office.The investigation remains active.
