Two men and two women are due to go on trial today accused of assisting an offender in relation to the murder of Elle Edwards . The 26-year-old beautician died after being shot outside the Lighthouse pub in Wallasey , Wirral , on Christmas Eve 2022. Connor Chapman was convicted of her murder in July last year and later jailed for life with a minimum term of 48 years. Four suspects have since been charged with assisting an offender in connection with the fatal shooting.
Their trial is expect to last three to four weeks, with the case being listed before Mr Justice Morris from 2pm today, October 3. According to charge sheets, 43-year-old Chambers - of no fixed address - is accused of arranging the hire of a Volkswagen T-Cross to be used by Chapman. Dowdall, aged 34 and of Woodchurch , is meanwhile said to have disposed of the gunman's clothing.
