Manchester United could soon be operating in a world where Manchester City are without manager Pep Guardiola
Like most of the Premier League, Manchester United will be keeping a keen eye on what transpires with England's search for the successor to Gareth Southgate.
Expectations rise Almost immediately after Guardiola signs on the dotted line with the England national team, expectations at United would rise. Currently there is an acceptance that City will just win the Premier League due to the immense track record they have. Arsenal may be the favourites to fill the void of powerhouse in the Premier League but should City drop off dramatically they may struggle to maintain their relentless results. After all, a fierce competitor is the greatest motivation and if City drop off, Arsenal could too.
