Four Seasons Napa Valley names Evan Neumann to lead Auro, bringing world-class French technique to Napa’s terroir.
Evan Neumann started as executive chef of Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley’s Michelin-starred restaurant, Auro, in April 2026. Neumann worked in renowned kitchens led by Joël Robuchon, Alain Ducasse, Anne-Sophie Pic and Christophe Bellanca.
He previously worked at Four Seasons as a sous chef in its La Dame de Pic restaurant in the French Alps for two years before going to Bellanca’s New York restaurant in 2022. His career began in Provence, France, where he entered a professional kitchen at age 14 and later trained at the École Hôtelière d’Avignon.
“What drew me to Auro is everything coming together in one place, the terroir of Napa Valley, Four Seasons standards of service excellence, and the opportunity to build something with a distinctive culinary identity and longevity, rooted in both French technique and the richness of California’s seasonal products,” Neumann said in a June 8 announcement. According to the resort, Neumann will lead Auro with a focus on Napa Valley terroir, seasonal ingredients and team development.
Auro has maintained a Michelin star annually since 2023 and has also received three consecutive Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence honors. It serves a seven-course tasting menu and is open Wednesday through Saturday.
