Emergency services were called to the scene at Crookedshields Road, East Kilbride, on Sunday night.
Five people have been rushed to hospital after a car ploughed into a tree in East Kilbride last night. Emergency services raced to Crookedshields Road shortly before 9pm on Sunday.
The firefighters were able to cut the stricken person from the car before they were then airlifted to Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The other four individuals were blue-lighted to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. “Operations control mobilised two appliances to the scene and on arrival firefighters found that a car had collided with a tree. Four casualties had been thrown from the vehicle, whilst one person remained trapped.
