A school van with 9 passengers collided with a car in Hanover Borough on Tuesday, according to York County Emergency Management Public Information Officer Ted Czech.
The first call about the crash came in around 2:40 p.m., with the crash reported on Carlisle Street, Czech said. In the crash, the van rolled over, which trapped the people inside, according to Czech. Firefighters were able to free those were trapped, and four people were taken to hospitals by ambulance with injuries.
In all, 10 people were involved in the crash, with one person in the car and the remaining people in the van. Czech was not able to say how many people in the van were children, or what school district they were from.Police had not released any information on the crash of early Tuesday evening.
