BANGKOK: The Royal Thai Navy (RTN) has transferred the commander of HTMS Chonburi, Lieutenant Commander Theeranai Laosing, to an inactive position at the Royal Thai Fleet Command after the ship accidentally fired a shell at HTMS Khirirat on March 14.

PUTRAJAYA: Ten civil servants, including a woman, have been remanded for four days, starting Wednesday , on suspicion of accepting over RM3 million in bribes from a tobacco, cigarette and alcohol smuggling syndicate.

"The arrests were conducted by MACC's Anti-Money Laundering Division in collaboration with the Inland Revenue Board and Bank Negara Malaysia since March 18. Previously, the AML division apprehended 11 individuals, including five civil servants and a person with the Datuk title, who was also remanded to assist in the investigation.
