Noakes — who began his policing career with the department in May 2000 and was appointed chief in 2021 — will retire in May.During his more than two decades with Fort Worth police, Noakes served in multiple ranks across the department in areas such as patrol, DWI, motors and internal affairs, his biography on the department’s website says. He was a deputy chief directly before his final promotion.
