A paramedic from the Fort Worth Fire Department has been placed on administrative leave from his job after he was accused late last year of sexually assaulting a patient during a home health care visit in Saginaw, officials said Thursday.
Luke Dickens is facing aggravated sexual assault charges in connection with the December incident. He turned himself in to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 6, according to a written statement from the fire department. It was not immediately clear if the man has posted bond. It was also not clear if he has an attorney.Dickens has been with the department since July last year, and had been previously employed by MedStar since 2022, according to the statement.The department said it is working in complete cooperation with Saginaw police and a thorough investigation to review the facts and circumstances of the case is being conducted.Saginaw police told the newspaper the victim notified Fort Worth police at first but investigators concluded that it occurred at a Saginaw residence.Suryatapa Chakraborty Suryatapa Chakraborty is a breaking news reporter at The Dallas Morning News.
