Local officials voted Tuesday to allow Formula 1 access to the Las Vegas strip, paving the way for the Las Vegas Grand Prix to be held through 2032,The Clark County Commission is allowing the race to expand past its initial three-year deal, which was. The race will be unique in that it will be on Saturday night — instead of Sunday — as the cars speed past iconic Vegas landmarks under the lights of the city.
“We are grateful for the passage of this resolution by the Board of County Commissioners, which will allow us to further our plans for the Las Vegas Strip Circuit," the Las Vegas Grand Prix said in a statement to USA TODAY Sports."The 10-year approval provides us with the certainty that race weekend would be available on the calendar through 2032.
