NBA champion Nick Young reinforces the Philippines in the Dubai club tournament, joining a roster that also includes Ateneo star Ange Kouame, former PBA import Renaldo Balkman, and Fil-Am Sedrick Barefield.
MANILA, Philippines – Former Golden State guard Nick Young and naturalized player Ange Kouame beef up Strong Group-Philippines in the Dubai International Championship this January.
Young, an 11-year NBA guard who also suited up for the Los Angeles Lakers, is expected to arrive in the Philippines a couple of weeks before the January 27-February 5 tournament. “I’ve had two championships with [Balkman], and I want to try to keep rolling,” said Tiu of the former PBA import. “He says he’s been in shape and is very eager to come back to the Philippines to come finish his legacy here.”
