A former nurse in Virginia is facing serious charges after allegedly injuring a baby in the hospital's NICU. The investigation is ongoing with multiple potential victims.
A former nurse at Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman, has been charged with felony child abuse and malicious wounding for allegedly injuring an infant at the hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit ( NICU ). Strotman faces up to 10 years in prison for felony child neglect and up to 20 years for felony malicious wounding. Public defender Scott Cardani, representing Strotman, stated she has not entered a plea.
Court records show her next hearing is scheduled for March 24, 2025. Strotman is currently denied bond and prohibited from contact with children under 18. The investigation is ongoing, with seven potential victims identified so far, spanning from 2023 and 2024.
